UK based CAR Magazine have revealed the first photo’s of Honda’s new S660 sports car concept, due to be unveiled at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show in November.
The diminutive two seat roadster is the modern interpretation of the 1960s S600 sports car with a few design cues from the 2011 electric EV-STER concept. But, like many concept cars, it is unlikely the S660 will ever see the light of day in production form.
The S660 name refers to the tiny little 660cc three cylinder engine mounted up front and boosted by an equally small turbo charger. Good news, is that all electric malarkey as seen in the CR-Z coupe has been thrown out the window for the S660, instead it being driven by petrol alone. CAR Magazine has speculated that the tiny engine could be mated to a CVT automatic gearbox featuring paddle shifters behind the steering wheel allowing for a ‘normal’ automatic feel
