JOHANNESBURG – Police have confirmed that a 14-year-old boy accused of strangling his mother to death has been taken to hospital with burn wounds.
He claims his mother poured boiling water over him.
The boy allegedly killed his 36-year-old mother in their Waterworks Informal Settlement home south of Johannesburg.
Police say he ran to his aunt's house after the crime.
The police's Tshekiso Mofokeng said, “The police took him to the hospital for treatment on his burn wounds.”
The boy is expected to appear in court tomorrow morning.
