Investigators look for evidence in the car where a woman was shot to death in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning.

A pregnant woman and her unborn child were killed in a shooting in Philadelphia Wednesday morning, police say.

It's the second time a pregnant woman has been killed by gunfire in Philly this month, after 25-year-old Megan Doto (pictured), who died in a shooting last Sunday.

Today police are searching for the man who shot a pregnant woman and another man just before 1 a.m. as the woman sat in her car in the Ogontz neighborhood, CBS Philly reports.

The woman was shot in the head and arm. She was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, along with the other victim, and was was pronounced dead at 1:03 a.m. Doctors performed an emergency c-section, but the newborn baby didn't survive.

The 26-year-old male victim was shot in the back and leg. He's expected to survive, and investigators were on hand at the hospital to interview him.

The suspect is still on the loose and hasn't been identified. Police say he fired 11 shots at the car, which was still running when they arrived on scene. The victims were found on the side of the road near the vehicle.

As for Doto's alleged killer, police told HuffPost Crime Wednesday that there "is no update" in the search for 27-year-old Devon Guisherd.
