The ceasefire does not exist in Donetsk as there is heavy fighting close to the airport in eastern Ukraine. The pro-Russian separatists and government had agreed upon a ceasefire between them.
The Ukrainian soldiers have been trying to keep the rebels at bay. Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has blamed Russia and accused them of wanting to "eliminate" his country.
He also said that the goal of Russian President Vladimir Putin is complete control over the Ukraine and his only protection was Nato.
